Why is there so much Fifties and Sixties idealization on this site?

The creator of this site grew up a latchkey kid.   I spent a lot of time at home, alone, watching Nickelodeon and Nick at Night.

Fifties and sixites women on television had it going ON.  They dressed well and had clean homes!  They could cook!  They never got mad!  I wanted to be that woman SO BAD.  Didn’t we all?

Guess who was in love with “I Dream of Genie”, and “Bewitched”.  *cough cough*

Plus, in reality, families lived closer together back then, and enjoyed some deeper local connections than we enjoy now.  At least, that’s how I envisioned it.  I grew up a latchkey kid in the 80’s and 90’s.  What do I know.

Part of creating change in the world is being the change you want to see in the world, so I’ve been dressing like a post-WW2 pinup for most of my life, since that’s an era I idolize, even if it had its flaws like every other era.  I have dressing like this down, it’s affordable, and I hope to teach women who desire to dress like this that it is super easy and comfortable.

Hey ladies, if you want to get started on pin-up life NOW, and affordably, start by going to “About The Creator Of This Site” on the homepage, then find the drop down menu for “Pinup Info”.

I hope some of the other resources on this site bring comfort and hope to America as well.  Every one could use a little break.  Maybe you’ll find it if you cruise around this site sometimes.  Have fun and DREAM BIGGER!
